Some hints & tips on Party Plan

EAT, DRINK AND MAKE MONEY – OUR
TOP TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL PARTY

• Presenting your jewellery in an attractive display can
increase your sales many times over. Place the jewellery
on a sturdy table with a quality black fabric – crushed
velvet or silk will complement the stones perfectly. Try to
have a spotlight focussing on your display, giving the
gems that extra sparkle.

• With jewellery parties, it’s important to have a place set up
where your customers can admire their prospective
purchases! Have a few hand mirrors dotted around, or
arrange for a large mirror to be set up on a separate table
with a chair alongside.

• Naturally, evening parties will be the most successful, so
keep some of those nights free.

• Ok, it is a party – but it’s your business too! Have an
agenda worked out before you arrive – with starting and
finishing times and the order in which you want the party
to run – 20 minutes for demonstrating the jewellery, 20
minutes allowed for the guests to take a closer look, 30
minutes for taking orders, 10 minutes for recruiting etc.
Place your order forms in an obvious spot and let the
guests know how and when they can expect to receive
their purchases.

• It is a party after all, so leave some time for your guests to
mingle and chat in between all the selling! Arrange your
chairs in a circle or have refreshments and nibbles
available if you wish.

• If you are hosting the party in your own home, don’t forget
to hand out leaflets and business cards indicating when
your next party will be.

• You know what they say about all
work and no play! Don’t forget to have
fun. If you are enjoying yourself, this
will come across in the way you
demonstrate your goods – meaning
increased profits for you.
